Yeah, I saw your post on another thread Steve. I used to come to your area for the Voyageur Rendezvous years ago! I held my own in the canoeing events but those loggers and Northwoods boys were pretty good at axe throwing and speed chopping and all the logging events!! I learned to throw and cut a cant in Forestry school in upstate NY but I didn't have the luxury of practice every day of the week at work.
I canoed through most of the Quetico when I was guiding out of Ely back in the 80's. I logged over 4000 miles in a canoe up there and wouldn't trade those summers for anything in the world. They were 7 of the best summers of my life!!!
