I just got an interesting call from Ray, who used to be a tech-support guy for RCI, the bankrupt manufacturer of the Mat Maestro. Ray is now working for a company called Gibson Koler Enterprises and they are offering parts, supplies and tech support for the Mat Maestro.
The only experience I had with Ray when he was with RCI was positive. He patiently talked me through a problem I was having with my CMC and got me up-and-running. I understand some of you had less positive experiences. Most of you probably had no experiences at all, 'cause you never received your CMCs.
Ray assured me that he would be calling users on his old Mat Maestro list and following up with some information in the mail. We didn't talk prices, but I wouldn't expect free support. At this point, I'd rather pay to have my Mat Maestro up and running than own a $16,000 door stop.
The numbers for Gibson Koler Enterprises are (7-4 Pacific time):
206 764-0102
866 875-0102 toll free
This is a Seattle number, but I wouldn't assume that Marvin Brecht has any connection with this company. I also would not assume he doesn't. If anyone has any experiences with this company, it would be helpful if you could share them here or email me directly.
