Hays, Kansas,
Good afternoon everyone! I am of course, rumaging around looking at used equipment everywhere. I found someone who says they have a bainbridge mat cutter, has anyone heard of a bainbridge cutter? Randy PS. Tomorrow, G. Dubya gets replaced, yay:p

I'm assuming they mean a c&h cutter mat cutter. Have yu seen it or just talked to them about it? The older ones are good, but the newer are definitely better. The single knob center adjustment is really sweet!

There is a Bainbridge glass and mat cutter, a wall cutter. I prefer the Fletcher 300 to that machine, but if the price is right?!

I have a Fletcher 2000 in nearly new condition. Based on your last sentence, I'm willing to part with this gem for a mere $13,000 (I'm gonna need it...the money that is!) I'll even throw in free shipping!

cutter

I've just talked to him about it, but he's going to email me pictures of it and the other equipment he has for sale.

As for the 13K fletcher, I believe I'll pass, there wasn't any political statement in my last sentence. I have sold cars the last 20 yrs. and it didn't take long to learn to completely sidestep any political preferences, don't even tell my wife. But, I think we've all had enough of the G Dubya years. I think it (the election) will be too close to call. Our media has made much out of nothing for decades, I wonder if our recession is real or the result of the media, after all, remember the African bees that were going to invade and overwhelm us? or how about the Y2K catastrophy?

Randy,

Bainbridge did put their name on the C&H cutter when they first bought them. This would indicate that this mat cutter was manufactured in the late 80's.

Still a great piece of equipment if it is in good condition. Let him know that you know its age so you get a good deal.

Jeff I thought that Bainbridge and C&H cutters were the same, or similar. The old C&H 4060 I had was a good cutter, with a wooden base that could get warped if not careful. (Replacements can be had from United)

I sold mine dirt cheap. But I sold it to a customer that I then sold mat board and blades to for years afterward. So the low price on the cutter was more than made up for! ;)

Once again,my knee jerk answer to this sort of question,yeah..I`m partial! www.pictureframingequipment.com Or contact Paul Cascio, here on the forum and ask what he has to offer. P.S. don`t worry about the Dubya comback...I`m with you..Some people don`t have any sense of humour here. L.
