Question MAT CUTTER EXTENSIONS

I HAVE BEEN FRAMING FOR YEARS AND MY CUTTERS HAVE A LEFT MARGIN RULE THAT ONLY GOES TO 6 INCHES. I AM LOOKING FOR AN EXTENSION. I KNOW THEY MAKE THEM BUT HAVE NOT FOUND ONE. THIS WOULD MAKE IT EASIER TO CUT DOUBLE AND TRIPLE MATS THAT ARE BIGGER THAN 6 INCHES. ANY IDEAS OUT THERE?

That would depend entirely on the model of mat cutter you're using. I have a Fletcher 2200, and there is an extension plate available for it. I never bothered getting it, since by the time I had a need for it I already had my CMC

I got an extended base for my 2200 (Fletcher) It's a piece of aluminum that bolts to the front on my regular size base. The C&H extended base would be a new bigger base as it is a one piece wood base. Both would come with the rule. But I am sure that since United sells the parts for these machines they can also sell you the ruler.

And, I’ve got an extension on my antique C&H 4060. I got it before it changed its name from Carithers, but I doubt that you’ll find any support for this species of dinosaur.
