Oh, how livid am I.... I have been cutting a number of mats (production style) and I usually get life out of a blade by using each end for at least 4-8 swipes of a large mat or a few more of smaller mats....
I have just had 5 blades in a row "catch" at either the beginning of the swipe or just inches from the end... only to discover a mili-piece of blade has broken off the end. BUT... it is only one end - the same end of the Logan blades I use. I actually recovered the teeny-tiny piece of broken blade lodged in the beveled edge of the ruined mat... so I know I am not losing my mind!! And you can barely see the break - but it is there - I feel it instantly.
Solution: just use the one end.
Meantime - it is a lot less money to keep replacing the blade then ruining mat board!!
Thanks for letting me vent!!
