Oh, how livid am I.... I have been cutting a number of mats (production style) and I usually get life out of a blade by using each end for at least 4-8 swipes of a large mat or a few more of smaller mats....

I have just had 5 blades in a row "catch" at either the beginning of the swipe or just inches from the end... only to discover a mili-piece of blade has broken off the end. BUT... it is only one end - the same end of the Logan blades I use. I actually recovered the teeny-tiny piece of broken blade lodged in the beveled edge of the ruined mat... so I know I am not losing my mind!! And you can barely see the break - but it is there - I feel it instantly.

Solution: just use the one end.

Meantime - it is a lot less money to keep replacing the blade then ruining mat board!!

Thanks for letting me vent!!

would suspect 1)blade extended tooo far 2) tooo much sideways play in the head either/both causing the blade to get pushed sideways(had that happen to me about 3wks ago--thought I was going nuts until I reallllly looked at what was going on down there)
