MIC, how large is the frame? Knowing your work, I assume you hand made each of the leaves, and then gilded them too. Or did you buy the compo from someone else, instead of making a mold and then make the compo?
Thank you Russ. Frame is 16x22. 28 oak leaves. Made mold of leaves and formed each using Sculpty oven bake clay. Each leaf was painted with red acrylic paint, leafed,coated with shellac and finished with asphaltum. All was sprayed with semi-glass acrylic.
I love the look but I would be worried about the strength of the Sculpy over the long term. Although I suppose if it is just going to hang on a wall in a church no one will ever touch it again.....
