On occassion I need to mark glass before cutting. My wonderful marker pen has run dry and a replacement is no where to be found. It made a nice purple mark and easily washed off with the glass cleaning (not a permanent marker).

What do you recommend? As always, thanks!!

Avery® Marks-A-Lot® Everbold Whiteboard Markers, Assorted Colors, Pack Of 4

Rich, vibrant colors, broad chisel tip and exclusive EverBold Ink System delivers consistent bold marks. Marks wipe off white board easily. Visible ink supply provides early warning of ink run out. Unique slim barrel is easy to grip and designed specifically for marking on vertical surfaces. Four color set includes black, blue, red, and green. Low odor and nontoxic. Conforms to ASTM D-4236.

Sherry, this is what I use for marking glass to cut. It's made for whiteboard presentations, and is easily removable. Actually the brand I use begins with a 'V', and comes in a fine point, for more precise cutting.
If I remember the name, I'll post it. It's the best stuff I've used!

These type of markers mark glass well, and wipe off easily. Highly recommended!

Of course, being an art supplies store, we have many markers from which to choose. Our favorite is Lumocolor. It comes in both water-soluble and permanent types. It was developed to write on overhead transparencies, so there is a nice dark line. The water soluble comes off easily. We mark all our scrap glass in the upper right hand corner with approximate size to maximized glass useage.

For my two cents....I use a "peel off" China Marker. I've always called them "greese pencils", until I looked at the label of my current one. ;)

We always use Sharpies also. They wipe right off. No sense in extra expense for something you're goint to wipe off, huh?

Charles, I ablolutely love the smell of the pens you are talking about. If you smell them long enough, you can get the same brain damage Unseal provides.
