I've wondered about this every time I see someone asking for deleted matboards......

How in the world do you mail one sheet of matboard?

Doesn't this cost a small fortune? Never mind the time to package it - which raises another question........

What's the best way to prepare a sheet of matboard for mailing? Or do you cut it to size first?

Just curious.......

Yes, size it first. That will save weight on the packaging. sandwich it between corragated board. two layers on each side. Make triangle corner pockets out of heavy paper and tape down to hold the mat in place. Give some border around the mat for padding.

Find the weight and go to any package carrier's site to calculate, such as usps.com

Sherry, if you want a 3" mat, I can slit you the four sides, stick in a 4" mailing tube and send it on down....

**Some assembly required**

:D
