I just received this quote from Delores Raines formerly of Pacific Framing, Oregon. I know Lynn lived in Vancouver Washington and was the rep for Orr, Arquati and others. Her husband was a former jockey. This is a tragic loss and she will be greatly missed. Her and I always had a laugh about our first names being the same. Just wanted those on the West coast to know.

I know you probably heard that Lynn Taketa was killed yesterday in Portland. She was kicked in the head by a horse. Just wanted to make sure you knew. I don't know how Jerry, her husband is doing. She also was the caregiver for her 95 (?) year old mother. I don't know if Jerry is up to it by himself. He's in his 70's and had a heart attack a few months ago.

Lynn, thank you so much for posting this. Such sad news.

While I never had an opportunity to talk in depth with Lynn Taketa, she was in several months ago. We sat down and she talked about being an independent sales rep, her love of the industry, her hopes for the independent frame shops, and we consoled each other in the job of caring for a senior parent.

I feel so lucky to have had even this short time to learn more about Lynn.

My thoughts and prayers are with her family, and her many friends in the framing community. Lynn will be missed by many.

Lynn Taketa

So saddened to hear about Lynn. She was just in my store a few weeks ago, too. (Guess she was doing the Seattle rounds.) We chatted about a lot of different things, too, like horses, hubbies and aging parents. Felt like I knew her a little better when she left, too. My thoughts and prayers to Jerry and her mother. The framing community in the PNW will miss her.

Sincerely,
Molly Boone-Jones

Thank you for your note, Lynn. Baer also started a thread,
and I was so sad to read it last night. I like Jerry and Lynn
both, and just saw her this past fall. What a sweet, good-hearted
lady, and always so helpful. She'll be greatly missed.
