Don't you just love when you mouth writes a check, that you body can't cash..... without a lot of learning up-curve.

By the way.... did I mention I hate.... er..... HATE math. So I did it with string and a pencil...... don't laugh - it worked.

Oh, and then there was the V-nailer.....

Yes, that is 1/4" thick foam core. No, I have no idea what the angles are - - other than they are the ones that work.

Cut square... draw line from point to point.... align frame miter to the line and the jaw point - - draw a line. Repeat on other side. nail

GOOD GAWD....I love that....but... we really should talk to those nice people about the artwork on their logo. Ow,that "dragon"... my eyes. L

You're so funny Baer. I think you have an absolutely brilliant brain. I think sometimes you just like putting your practicality to the test and having fun.

Like your plan with the underpinner, good idea!

The end result looks great as usual

Since my house is an octagon, I know that the angles are 22.5 degrees. Which, for an 8-sided frame are exactly HALF of a four-sided frame of 45 degrees. DUH!!!

360 divided by 16 = 22.5

360 divided by 8 = 45

Silly old Baer!

BTW, it that needlework or what?

Oh, and nice frame.

;)

IMHO it would qualify for pettipoint.

but it is counted crosstitch. on 18-count cloth.
Her eyes find the smaller more restful.

now, if she could just figure out how to stitch a more
circular circle......

It actually looked fine -- until I plopped the mat on it.

But, she's going to love it.

The antiquing was a **tch. The finish was way too gloss,
and it was the black.... instead of a clear coat I could cut
through.... so I had to spatter mat Kylon on it to get the
wax where I wanted it.... to get the gauche and stone
to set.
Next time I think I'll either carve the blinker from scratch
and finish it right.... or keep my blood mouth shut. :fire:
