Quick ?'s brought on by my adding INLINE to the vendor list & then trying to figure out where everything 'fits in'--price wise......When adding INLINE frames we get 1000's of frame/pricing combos.....so how do I setup/sell an INLINE domed/oval glass for a 'standard" oval(assume 16X20) ????? Ie., where do/can I setup the glass size/price matrix so I dont need to go to the catalog &/or call INLINE, in the middle of the sale to find the price (not something I think looks too good after using the computer to input the other info)? I thought about using the "other glass" area BUT that isn't suited for INLINE shapes/sizings(oval, cicrle, hex, octo), & I can't change the preassigned NNxNN sizes or it would be pretty simple (definitely doesnt fit in with CIRCLE sizes at all & I WON't get into the substitution of "11x14 = 11 OR, possiblly, 14 inch diam circle)!).
sooooooo, how has everyone gotten around this particular pothole in my road to success? thanks for all your constructive inputs

Howdy

They have every possible combination already in the database, with prices

-Enter the profile/style ID in the moulding 1 field. example: IO450 (style 450)
-A special ILO dialogue box pops up
-Select desired SHAPE from the pulldown menu
-Select desired SIZE from the pulldown menu
-Select desired FINISH from the pulldown menu
-The correct item # (for ordering) will be calculated for you, based on these choices.

For standard glass types and mats, it will calculate and price as usual.

If you are using a specialty or domed glass that isnt in your pricing tables, you can add it on the fly by clicking "INCLUDE MISC". Available sizes and prices vary greatly for domed glass, depending on your vendor (much like bevelled mirrors), so this is not included with the program as a default. If you add it this way, it might be a good idea to note this in the COMMENTS field so it will print on the workorder.

I hope this is somewhat helpful. You may want to give them a ring at tech support for a more detailed answer.

Other grumblers will hopefully answer as well

Thanks Mike...

I know I could have called LS but this is something I just got into & wanted to heard it "from the horse's mouths", especially if there were work-arounds involved. LS, like the other vendors that I have really really looked into, desperately need to have their "HELP" manuals thrown out & rewritten by a team of tech writers(hoping against hope that these kinds of situations will have been included/thoroughly explained)
