I have misplaced my Palm Pilot. I won't say it's lost (though I did in the topic title.) It's somewhere in my shop. Every once-in-a-while I can hear it beeping - reminding me of something really important. I don't know what. It doesn't beep long enough for me to really get a bead on it.

It's kinda like a losing a dog - a dog that knows my credit card numbers, my passwords, the social security numbers for everyone in the family, the names and addresses for everyone I know, etc etc etc.

Eventually, it will <strike>starve</strike> run out of battery power.

Palm Pilot developers need to install one of those homing devices you sometimes see on cordless phone or key rings.

Ron,
I don't keep a palm pilot, mainly because I could never keep up with one. My husband does, and we search for it on a regular basis. They are wiley rascals!

If you need a reasonably new M130m lemme know. Have one, rarely use it, still like to keep paper notes. Have had this one since Sept. PLUS I have all the major moulding vendors in the "business" section of the address book.

additonal features include Mobile Lists CD, wherein you will find my list of best wines, best burbons, best single malts, most exotic daylillies--which may not grow that far North-and other exotic goodies.

I'll delete the phone numbers of mistresses. You really wouldn'tneed them anyway.

Thanks, Michael.

My fear is not lack of hardware. I have three other Palm Pilots waiting in the wings - older models, but compatable.

And I'm not concerned about data loss. The information is backed up daily to three different PCs. Or it was until the rogue PDA went missing.

No, my big Palm Pilot nightmare is that the little **** will fall into the hands of the enemy. In addition to the aforementioned personal information, my PDA contains my entire customer list. Oh, and the cheat codes for Doom.

Your data sounds a lot more interesting, though.

Maybe you should put your ear up to Dogzilla's belly, or take him for a walk in the park.

I bet I could win the prize for backroom, umm shall we say "disorganization". Anybody game for posting pictures? We could have a contest. Although honestly you guys wouldn't continue to hold me in the same "high esteem" you currently do, if I posted mine.

"Look, Mommie, that big dog over there is pooping a Palm Pilot!"

I don't think Dogzilla ate it, though he's been making plenty of noises on his own. They just don't sound digital.

I refuse to participate in a show of workroom!!! That's not fair to look at folks workrooms. I think I'd much rather let you borrow my toothbrush.

Y'all can breathe easier now. I found it - badly in need of a battery recharge, but otherwise unscathed. I think it was happy to see me.

I am planning a celebratory feast following the Packer-Bear game this afternoon, featuring left-over turkey. I've invited all the other Palm Pilots, as well as a couple of TI calculators who mix well. (There will be a vegetable platter for the vegetarian PDAs.)

You could send your M130, Michael, if it has the infrared data-exchange function so it can carry on a decent conversation.

I gotta get out and talk to some PEOPLE today.

Just so you don't think I'm ignoring the second, parallel discussion going on here, I WON'T be posting any backroom photos this year.

You all are welcome to visit any time you want.
