Good customer brought in one of those glass sandwich things with the 3/8" black plastic edging that slips over the edge. Wants only this floating look for some kids art. Advised against but you know.....

Anyway, where on planet earth can I get some of this beautiful moulding? The thing she had was four pieces mitered around a sandwich of regular glass, paper artwork and that thin plexi. I would prefer to use two pieces of acrylite with her art. So it needs to fit over this.

We have all seen this cheap poster frame type of moulding but I can't find a supplier.

Anyone?

Sign suppliers sell it. You will end up buying a lot more than you want to own.
 
United carried something like that. Not sure if they still do now or not. They were called clippity something (cant remember).

Yeah, I saw those but not what I need. Yes, WalMart has this product but I need to make custom sizes for this customer so sending her there accomplishes nothing.

Maybe nobody we do business with carries anything like this. No wonder, it's cheap carp!
 
You can cut the stuff with a pair of scissors. Get a walmartymade frame that is too big and snip it down to size.

Or see if the local sign shop has it as mentioned above and then ask if you can get small pieces of it. Sign shops are great resources to work with, and if the shop you walk into doesn't want to help you the next one might. I work with the sign shops, trophy shops and glass stores around me. Cultivate the local businesses.
