i'm currently looking for a used cmc; does not have to be anything fancy, as all i do is rectangular cuts; 8-ply would be cool, but not necessary. does anybody know where to find used cmc's? my price range is somewhere below $10K...
very much appreciate any input!
thanks.

Hmmmm? I wonder who could help? Hmmmm? Suppose the Guerrilla used equipment / framing school / PFM business editor / new Grumbler could help? Look south my friend, look south! Sorry, it’s 4:43pm  Where's the Unseal?

Dear Blubber, You have to understand Less. He has a heavy unseal abuse problem, he is working on it and we all support him. But meanwhile sometimes he gives bizarre unintelligible responses to posts. We all humor him, because we don't want to rile him(see our trip to Florida thread). Best I can tell from the "Less speak" I have learned he is suggesting you go to the For Sale Frameshop Stuff and art forum which is a couple levels down on the main page. I hope this helps, and if you are young and starting out please let our little "Less" serve as an example of why you need to keep all the caps tight on your cans of unseal.

Nobody understands Less. Many have given up trying.

The only ones likely to want to part with their CMC are framers who are moving up to a machine with more features and capability. JRB had a Wizard on The Grumble some time ago and I could probably be persuaded to part with my Mat Maestro for somewhere around the price you mentioned. There was a Mat Maestro on eBay a while back - probably a repo.

Have you looked at the Wizard rental program? That looks to be a way to get a CMC in your shop with a minimal up-front investment.

God help me but I knew exactly what Less was talking about!!!! I think I feel sick....
He means check out Paul Cascio's used equipment site: http://framingequipment.com/ or better yet give him a call at 1-800-864-2688.

Never mind, I just saw Cascio's post in the For Sale – Frameshop Stuff forum and realized I didn't know what Less was talking about after all. phweww, what a relief!!!
