Hi all,

I have a dilemma. I have a customer who wants me to make a shadowbox. She likes the profile shape of Larson Juhl's SOHO 345082 but wants it in a dark walnut like Larson's Cranbrook. Sorry no pics, camera is at home but here's are links instead.

(grr. the links only go to the main catalog page)

Nurre has their bevelwoods line but they don't make it in dk. walnut. Does anyone know of a company that does have that profile shape and color? She is under the impression that I could just order that from anyone and doesn't realize that custom manufacturing isn't really much of an option since there are usually footage minimums (and I only need about 15').

Thanks for the link Carol but the customer wants a plain moulding with no decoration. It's going around a plan rendering for a park/retail area so simplicity is key.

I tried taking a picture of LJ's Soho with my phone's camera to show the desired profile but it's super fuzzy. I'll try again.

ok here goes

This is the profile shape she wants but with a dark walnut stain.

Jerry's advice about contacting Foster Planing Mill is a good one. They have a handful of profiles that are pretty close to what you want, and then you can finish them to your own specs.

In particular, profile 707 and 719, but they can also custom mill for you.

Thanks guys!

Looks like Vermont Hardwoods will be able to help. Hopefully it will still fall within the customer's budget.

Thanks for the info--I knew someone would be able to point me in the right direction.

Picture Woods contact info?

Does anyone have contact info for Picture Woods? I can't fine them online.

I spoke with Vermont Hardwoods and am not sure the cust will want to pay for the custom milling so I want to get another option for her.

Thanks
