I need to find some Kona wood for a special project for someone. They have requested kona especially for their own personal reasons, and realize it will be expensive, not a problem. I think I can only get it in Hawaii??
Can anyone direct me to a distibutor or source for this? I also understand it is very hard wood, joining advice welcomed.
Thank you!

ask for Koa.

It's Koa and I got some from Berea hardwoods in Berea, Ohio.

I think Kona is a type of coffee.

martin and macarthur in Hawaii carry an extensive line of Koa moulding. They sell these mouldings to other distributors on the main land. You can also use almost any type of Acaica tree. That is basically what Koa is. Australian Acaica is almost exactly the same but mutch cheaper.

Oooops, Im laughing!!! Yeah thats right Koa, yeah I got it, just thirsty thats all, yeah! LOLOL Thank you so much y'all are great. Cream and sugar?

I mill my own line of Koa and usually have some brd feet laying around. Should you not have luck with the already mentioned excellent choices- let me know.
