Yes, it looks like Engelsen 2707, about 1-3/4" wide.

Hey Rick you may have nailed it. My supplier says it's from Italy, and there's a six-week backorder.

If this is the one, do you know if Engelsen is an importer? If they manufacture, then this isn't a match.

As soon as I saw the title to this thread, I knew how I was going to answer but I needed to let the serious answers come first.

Now that that is out of the way, a little frankenthreading is in order.

Looking for an Italian? Will one of these suffice.

Well, the veneer on the third image looks right, the dimensions are sound, but I don't think it would go well on the portrait of my wife.

So why, you ask, am I looking for this profile? Because I need a half-inch more on the last stick. Three perfect lengths, and a 19 1/2 inch fourth, when I need 20 inches. All this for a half inch.

If it were my own art and I really, really, really wanted to use that profile I would trim 1/2" off the Mona Lisa to make it fit.................not.

It's a dilemma that others have pondered. Can I trim just a bit off to make it fit? Hopefully none have succumbed unless it was just something decorative.

If it is a matted piece, you could reduce the mat margin by 1/4" all around. Wouldn't affect the art itself.

True dat but I figured that was too simple. If it was a matted piece Ted would have gone that route already.

Same here, but I know there are some folks who feel that somehow the stars will be knocked out of alignment or the earth will tip off its axis if they make any alterations to the original design.
