Hello everyone!
Does anyone know where I can find moulding which is inlaid with a strip of American Flags? Actually I am interested in finding any type of moulding which has that Americana look to it.Any input would be greatly appreciated - Thanks!

Indian River has a small moulding with American flag inlay. there number is 800 634-6733
Animaux also has a large moulding with a flag motif.
Hope that helps.

Southernaire in Atlanta has a wonderful medium blue, about 1" wide, moulding with a natural stripe down the middle that has inlaid flags in the natural stripe. It looks really great on the right pictre. I'm in the Atlanta area, and used it a lot when we had Olympics here.

If you're not allergic to plastic moulding, Marley has a number of profiles. Call Tim Dykstra at 1-800-368-3117 and he'll help you out. Mention that I dropped his name, he's a great guy.

Who is J. Orr?

We have used a lot of the flag moulding described by fttom. Beware, it fades drastically in flourescent lighting.

Jo, thanks for that info. I didn't know that the stuff faded. Haven't had any come back that I've used. I wonder if the source makes a difference. I've gotten some from J.Orr, and also some from Southernaire. I couldn't tell a difference in looking at the moulding, but there may be a difference in the way they are made, or where they are imported from.

I feel pretty sure we are all talking about the same moulding, fttom. We haven't had any come back, but we have a framed sample in our display area that looks awful. The sample has faded hanging on the sample wall also.

Even if they don't bring it back, I hate having our name on something like looks bad.

I'll have to ask my Mother what her's looks like. I framed some Olympic stuff for her in that same moulding in '96, and she's got it hanging in her den in the sun. I haven't really taken a look at it lately, but I will. I haven't got my sample out in the open. I don't get much call for it now that the Olympics are over here, so it went under the counter with the other not so often used samples.

Peter Friedmark President of Century Framing Supply was in my shop yesterday showed me the most awesome (about) 1.5" wide Flag moulding call Them you Will like this.

I dug up this thread to post about Century Framing's flag moulding, but as I scrolled down, noticed that Gumby had posted. It is pretty. Check it out!
