I'm looking for a Conservator who might be willing to clean some old oils on canvas. Perhaps someone in the New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania area.

anybody have a suggestion?

We have one in the Philadelphia area in Chestnut Hill. His name is Steven Erisoty, and there is a listing for him in the phone book. Let me know if you need his #. I have sent many customers to him and they all seem to be satisfied.
 
Another possibility is to contact a nearby art museum. They may know of or have conservators on staff.

I can speak for WestLake Conservators. We have a great relationship and work well together; located about 2 miles from my shop. I send them conservation, cleaning, and restoration, and they send me framing, and I cut their specialty mats on the Wizard.
