We are developing a new product line that will use 12x12 readymades. Have found a few companies; most with only one or two choices. One company has great selection and prices, but frames are made of Bonanza wood and they weigh a ton making freight semi-prohibitive. Glass is desirable but can pick up locally, if needed.

Anyone have any sources? This size is typically a scrapbook frame

PM me if more comfortable

Thanks

I make and stockl them but will PM you with what you need for a supplier.

thanks for the help. to further clarify, this new line is in prototype phase and i'm looking to get a dozen or so prototypes so we can review and photograph (is that what we still call it even when it's a digital image?) the proposed product prior to publishing, Needing one each on the first order.

Jeff-nice to hear from you again. looks like international's site isn't working; i'll call them Monday

The other site appears to require log in info and i'll call them, too

Thanks again

It is working intermittently while they do annual updates to everything there Bob. It has given me the boot a dozen times or so in the last few days but comes back up within an hour or so. Fourth of July holiday is when they do the major work on it since that is the time that seems to be least crucial in framing. Lazy days of summer and all.

Glad to see you back in the bidness Bob. :icon21:

i've been in several different trades over the years, but, none as filled with good people as this one

While not in the framing trade any longer, still utilizing materials from.

and, after offering advice (worth every penny) for years, I'm taking my own advice and asking for advice

Thanks

(It is a little daunting, though, looking at the trade from the outside-it's a little scary)

Hi, Bob!

(It is a little daunting, though, looking at the trade from the outside-it's a little scary)

When you look at it from the outside you say anybody that would do that needs to have their head examined. Once in you either don't have the time or the money to have your head examined.

The happiest days in a framer's life are the day they open, the day they close, the day they open again, the day they close again. I keep threatening to sell off all my stuff so I can take a few days off. Every time I get ready to do it I start to enjoy myself again and say maybe next month.

Kandu Industries is located in Holland, MI. They have have had a booth at the Decor show in the past. I do not know if they go to Vegas. However, their business is a non-profit and they hire handicapped. One aspect of the business is providing picture frames at wholesale. Their prices are very good. They will also do preframed art in quantity. It really might be worth your time to check them out. I have seen their finished products end up in Hallmark type gift shops.
