I'm in great need of enough of LJ's 657905, Verde Florentina, to make a 14 x 18 frame. They've changed finishes and I need the
"old" one: the soft shimmer under the color finish, and a distinct gold foil lip. Does anyone have any they'd part with??
 
Hi MM. I was having a lot of trouble with the finish on Florentina Crema looking too coppery. My LJ rep said they were working with the manufacturers in Italy to revamp the finishing procedures so the line should soon start looking like the original samples again. Are you in a hurry? Kit

Isn't the Internet wonderful? Many, many thanx to Tadporter, from whom I'll be receiving my Verde very soon: framer friends abound.

Kit, I got some info yesterday from LJ that the Florentina line should be back to normal without 90 days or so. They obviously knew they were fielding a different finish after the complaints. And it can't come too soon: this finish is so subtle that the "slight" variations in the color application process created a completely different effect. But for the holiday rush....? might look for alternatives.
 
mmmmmm Just been told that LJ is out of a florentia "crema" in 6 closest locations.

I was just was at "HOBBY LOBBY" last night I saw that the had it? And I know that "hobby Lobby" owned by GRECO just buys and sells discontiuned and bad run mldgs. mmmmmmm
