Does anyone know of a good supplier to buy linens from? I've heard that it is better to purchase linens from someone who chops them rather than cuts them with a saw. You get a cleaner cut for the mitres. I'm looking for linens approx. 2" wide with the look of having a silver fillet on the inside. Most I've seen have gold looking fillets. Any ideas for suppliers?

You can stack a liner and a fillet. If you order chops, we've found it's best to order the elements to be stacked from the same supplier.

You could try Larson Juhl. They have 2" liners and silver fillets. Just make sure you charge enough!

Engelsen also has liners and some fillets.

Putnam has my two favorite linen liners. They have a wood lip instead of a gold lip. Their moulding number D623 is a 7/8" linen with a walnut lip and their D622 has a cherry lip. Nice look.

Putnam's phone is 800-631-7330

But you can also get a linen liner in white, cream or black and use a fillet as the gold, silver or wood lip. Gives you more options when you can mix and match components, just gets more and more expensive!

Where's Baer? Doesn't he use fabric and wrap his own?

I checked at work today and found two Engelsen linen liners that have silver edges.

3302 is flat and is 1 1/2".

1925 is scooped and is 1 1/2".
