framing
I have just started framing paintings and have bought this Morsö Eh that has the knifes in this way. When I cut pine, the right cut is perfect but the left is a little grated. The right knife in the picture is a little in front of the left. How would you have done to solve this? Do I need to let go of the two flat steel knives on the bottom plate before I try to adjust the knives.
When I cut into walnut, the same problem does not arise with a scratchy edge..

What tips do you have?

Grateful for your knowledge!

Don't go fiddling with the bottom knife settings. You need to properly align the blades shown in your photo so that the bottom edges meet precisely in the middle and there is no gap between them along the front. Loosen all the bolts and then gently "finger-tighten" them so that they can be shifted a little. When you get them aligned, tighten the center bolt on each side first, and then the inner and outer ones. BE CAREFUL. There are existing discussions about the finer points of aligning these (no pun intended) available through the Search function above.
