Like Antiques Road Show?

Join Metro Atlantic PPFA at the Philadelphia Print Shop in Chestnut Hill, Pa (Philadelphia area) on Monday March 26 at 12:30 PM. Our host Don Cresswell, co-owner of the Philadelphia Print Shop and appraiser on The Antiques Road Show will talk to us about identifying prints and other interesting facets of his fascinating business. You'll have the chance to learn about hand coloring of prints and you will be extended discounts if you choose to purchase. Get to know other framers from the New Jersey, Philadelphia and Delaware area too. Leave a little extra time to find parking and click here for directions to the Philadelphia Print Shop. Lunch is on your own but Chestnut Hill has a wide variety of eateries. My favorites are Chestnut Hill Coffee Company, Cake, and Valley Green Inn.

We would love to have you, but we need to hear from you by Thursday March 22, 2012.
Please RSVP to Bart@thegreatframeup.com with your name, shop name and location, telephone number (yes it can snow in March...) and number attending. Get ready for a great meeting!

Great, glad you can make it Steve.

A little update....I contacted some suppliers and yes, we will have AMAZING doorprizes.

Now if the weather people will cooperate, springtime in Chestnut Hill is beautiful. You might want to make a day of it by walking the avenue, going out to lunch, visiting some of the independent shops or taking a stroll on the Valley Green walking trails.

Yes Carla, I know that you want to pack up some Valley Green Inn prints and sell them to the patrons. Don't even think about it.

Sue,

No, I just want to have lunch! A few beers wouldn't hurt either. Their chicken salad sandwich, at The Valley Green Inn, is to die for! I know Jack would love to see us. Although, Lisa told me there is an Iron Hill right up the road. Talk about some good beer. Hum decisions, decisions.

Maybe we could get a tour through Palladio while we are there.

Will Gwen be talking about the painting of antique prints?

Better yet, we'll have a demonstration of hand coloring the prints by Gwynn! I always thought it would be fun to color those prints. I wonder if it is like "paint by number?"

Cool, so Gwen will be showing us how she colors the prints. Wasn't sure is she was going to be part of it or not. Should prove to be a very intersting venue. See you there.

I really like the Philadelphia Print Shop, they are my go to when researching prints. Good luck and have a great show!

We have some great doorprizes that were donated by our suppliers. Larson Juhl has donated an American Express giftcard! Our good friends at Nielsen Bainbridge donated a box of 32x40 foamboard. Don Mar reps will attend and have donated a gift certificate to a lucky winner. Long time supporter of Metro Atlantic PPFA, Mark Butwinski from Inmes-USA has donated v-nails. Also we have generous gift certificate from Digital Custom. So if you are in the area, please join in this fun meeting. Send a quick email to Bart and let him know that you will be with us.
