I have a new computer running vista, and I have just attempted to update Lifesaver to version 5.11.1 and it installs the program, restarts computer, and then goes to the install window again, and reinstalls it. This has happened 3 times. Any ideas.

Thanks
Nancy

It does work fine on Vista.

Which A/V program are you using? I'm aware of a small issue that some folks with Kaspersky are experiencing, and a fix is in the works. (Kaspersky blocks the installer for SOME people, but not others)

Try this:

1) If running Kaspersky, disable it briefly (Right click red K down on system tray and QUIT).

2) Click START -> COMPUTER -> C: (Local Disk) -> LIFESAVER (yellow folder) -> PROGRAM_UPDATE (yellow folder)

3) Double click the 5111UPDATE file to manually reinstall.

4) Reboot the computer when prompted, after the install has completed. This will also re-enable the a/v program.

Hopefully that'll fix up any issue that you have.

Mike

PS: If you don't use Kaspersky antivirus, it's ok to try steps 2-4 anyways.
