LifeSaver Invoices

Your answer is at this link, within the thread linked above.

The short answer is to keep that setting in configure to NONE, and when you write up an order click the INVOICE button when you want it invoiced for a commercial client. A box will pop up asking for the optional PO #, and an invoice will print immediately.

If you scroll to the bottom of the above link, you can get a printable 20 page PDF that contains all 46 tips. I updated it a few hours ago, in fact.

????

Mike,

You say click printing and options...I see no button for those in the configuation window. But I have set ticket auto invoice to none and then I go to a ticket and ask for an invoice. The window comes up, I select bill now, click ok and nothing happens?!

What's up with this??

Hi Joel

I should have been clearer in the instructions, and just went back and improved them with one final step. I didn't mention that when you are done writing up the order, you want to hit SAVE. This completes the order, and generates the printouts.

How To Invoice A Client, When Writing Up an Order

From the Framing Order screen:
-Write up the order as normal
-When finished, click INVOICE
-(optional) Enter P.O. (purchase order) number from client
-Select a billing method ie: "BILL NOW"
Options explained:
-BILL NOW - Prints the invoice immediately
-BILL TODAY - Prints invoice(s) at the daily closing report
-BILL WHEN DUE - Prints at closing, but not until terms are due
-Click OK
-Click SAVE as you normally would, and an invoice will print with the workorder.

Best regards,
Mike
