Lifesaver, AGAIN.

we love lifesaver and would like to use it to the maximum potential of what point of sale software should achieve, but i have to say, the potential they have doesnt even reach very far at all, I've noticed.

we would like to have:

More than one ticket open at a time

the money tied to the person, and not to the ticket so you can leave money on account if need be. (this comes up all the time!)

you should be able to print the daily report at any time or day after the initial daily report is printed.

Every money field should assume 2 decimal places, no matter what. When you hit the period, it should move everything before that period to the left and assume change goes after.

we'd must see everything about the customer printed on the ticket!
sometimes phone numbers dont come up because lifesaver just doesnt think you will need it. let me decide what i need, and print everything. sometimes, it doesnt even print the whole address, even though there are tons of fields to put information in!




what do you guys think!
I'm not trying to grumble. I just want to know if we are alone in thinking lifesaver is awesome-ISH and needs a lot of improvement!

I'd like it to be more "windows" and less DOS looking! I mean ctrl-X is cut, not quit!

How do you do a search for a particular moulding or mat? Like when a customer walks in and wants to buy a matboard from me in QB I do a search and can find out if the matboard is free or if I need it for a customer order.

But I love it too. It has made it so much easier keeping up with price changes and figuring footage needed!

that is one of my main grumps about this software. I use cut and paste all the time, and I almost want to cry when I see that come up.

OK when I type in a mat number, like B8519, in the mat size box the software just wants to crash! Keeps throwing "invalid" boxes at me!

And when I hit shift-tab to back up between hot boxes where does the focus go after "image size"? I when to back up to the persons name and I can't.

What does "hold" do? When I have used it it still posts the order as active.

how come when I am on the "browse ticket" page I can reorder the sort by clicking on the field heading? I want to be able to see with ones are due now, not just look at it alphabetically.

Not (really) whining, just would like to see some changes!
