Is anyone else having problems getting to the search page on Lieberman's web site? :( I can bring up other pages within their site just not the search page. Kinda frustrating.....

It seems to be up now, but was giving server timeouts yesterday.

My guess (and that's all it is) is that this module of their site is outsourced to a third party server, which was a victim of this weekend's large outage. A large data center in Miami (Sago Networks) was down for over a day, taking thousands of websites and a domain registrar, with it.

Sago runs a large data center in Miami and rents space to webhosting companies and other companies that co-locate their equipment in the same building. A botched upgrade of their routers lead to a day of downtime, and even as I type this it's only at about 80%.

Either the timing is just a coincidence, or that's why.

Have you considered their CD version? It has a powerful search tool, and works without the internet.

I bet in the past couple months the Liebermans search engine has been unavailable to me more times than it has been available. Although, I just tried it now and it seems to be working.

I had an early version on their CD...worked ok(all software has idiosynch's)...had it for @2 years...thing was---that version was NOT compatible with the newer versions of XP....... I had a virus & had to rebuild the operating system(used the newest XP version, of course), got PC back, fired up Lieb. app and it took down the entire machine---killed EVERYTHING. Had to pay the tech another fee to reinstall XP and everything else!!!!!finally called Lieb only to find out they had all new people & noone new anything about the old version and couldnt/wouldnt venture an opinion on why the problem...they called back acouple days later---they had found someone in another dept that 'sorta' remembered this kind of problem...thats when we all found out about the incompatibility problem....if you upgrade in 'midstream', best to find out if vendor's softwares are upward compatible before turning them on!!!!
