licensing sport

I searched the archives and I can't find any information about licensing sports logos. Has anyone looked into the posability of licensing and the costs involved? I would like to print out images and stick them on mats, if the costs aren't prohibitive.

I have seen mats computer cut with the n.y. yankees logo in a corner for a Yogi Bera jersey. I don't know how that works, but call a trademark lawyer and get back to us.
