Has anyone tried out the newer battery powered LED picture lights? I'm afraid that they will project too cold a light. But battery life should be much better. Any input would be appreciated. I get requests for cordless lights, but I discourage the idea as the battery life is poor and the light color is so warm. Also, it looks like our customers can go on line and get the lights at our costs!

From the lack of response, I tend to believe that there is no such thing as a battery powered picture light anyone would recommend. That's really what I figured. I was hoping there had been an improvement.

I wouldn't recommend any I've seen. Every battery powered light I've ever ordered for customers has been returned. I won't order them until I hear good reports from others that the quality is where it needs to be.

We are working on a large led lit shadow box 40X40 Looked into battery powered but none would meet the lux we needed we went to a plug in powered system. I am currently looking at this company to solve the wire down the wall problem http://eupgrader.com/635/living/hide-your-wires-in-plain-sight-with-flatwires-flat-wire/ I will let you know what happens. We took the advice from another Grumbler and purchased the LEDs from http://www.wholesale-leds.com/light...ledlightstripfordisplay5feet-2-1-1-2-1-2.aspx. We purchased the warm white 16 foot and a dimmer which we are hard wiring into the box (remote)

Nice info on the LED lights and flatwire. For a different project I'm working on, the lights are perfect.
