I need to hang a mirror so it looks like it is leaning on a fireplace mantel. What do you do to achieve that look.

See if these tethering devices will work. You can 'lean' the mirror but it will be supported from the back from a strap that is mounted into the wall (see product specifics for weight tolerances, etc.).
If you need product knowledge, you can call them directly for advice on drywall anchoring screws and different options.
