According to PFM Seminars, organizer of the West Coast Art & Framing (WCAF) Show & National Conference, these are a few highlights of the upcoming show:
1. The Breakfast Panel Discussion , always a popular event, this year will be on Digital Art . The "Lord of Longevity", Henry Wilhelm , will be on the panel. When it comes to permanence of giclee art, he is absolutely the leading authority. Can't wait to see who else will be on that panel.
2. 76 classes are scheduled Wednesday, January 15th through Saturday, January 18th. Lots of new classes and new educators. (see 6 below)
3. A Guggenheim Musuem tour is scheduled 1-5 pm Friday, Jan. 17.
4. PFM Consultants, a new feature, will debut at this show. Four framing industry experts -- Jay Goltz, Marc Bluestone, Jim Parrie, and Greg Perkins -- will discuss business issues one-on-one with framers & framing business owners in private consultation. 1/2 hour sessions will be scheduled.
5. Hugh Phibbs will share the revolutionary "Micro Dot Hinging" method of mounting art in his new preservation class.
6. The schedule of classes is completed, and is now being loaded onto the PICTURE FRAMING MAGAZINE website (a big job). It should be available there within a week or so. A WCAF brochure & schedule will be included with your next issue of PICTURE FRAMING MAGAZINE.
