My youngest brother got married this past weekend. As a present I made his wedding cake. And the base....A Larsen Juhl shadowbox deep frame...Imperial 403IS was used and a support frame built inside to support 80 pounds of cake.

The cake looked fab on it and the wedding was lovely....I have plenty leftover if you want some, stop by with a glass of milk!

Did you use the base to make a memory box after the cake was removed, hmmmmm?

I love wedding cake. It is my favorite type of cake period.

Chickie...put cake in car, drive to hwy 27 S, go about 55 miles and stop when you get to Sebring at our gallery, bring cake into the store, we will even let you share a piece with us., we have milk .

Four things customers say when you sell them a Wedding Cake Frame:

Is the frame edible?

If I use Museum Glass will it help preserve the marriage?

Did you use acid free fondant?

'But the cake costs so much more than the frame.

Beautiful cake Chickie.

And Holy Cow!!! 80 lbs! How in the heck did you do it? Piece it together?

I'm gonna steal your idea. I do ongoing work for two bakeries.

Great idea!

The frame had a support system under it...as did the cake....each layer has dowel rods for support of the cake boards.

As for the eighty pounds....oh yeah! Triple layers of dark chocolate cake with strawberries in Gran Marnier between the layers...then chocolate ganache and then buttercream icing on top. We won't talk calories! Like 3 dozen eggs...

With all the snow coming our way, I have 12 hours to get out of town. I am on my way...........(in my dreams :D).

I love the idea..............I will be passing this idea on and keeping a photo of it in my idea book!!!!
