We have a Seal dry-mount press and a Pro-seal 44 roller press.
A customer wants a whole bunch of small pictures laminated to put above sinks in bathrooms. I suggested mounting them on thin Plexi and placing another piece in front to cover. The customer wants something cheaper. She is picturing the type of laminating you would do for a drivers license or those large maps everyone buys that are laminated on both sides.

I have never used either of the presses for this kind of laminating. I think we can buy pouches of some sort. Does anyone have experience with this? Do we need to buy a laminating machine of some sort?

Thanks,

You might want to call Seal and talk to them.

I know a roller press can do it IF it is a hot press. We use to have one, but never did it because it required two rolls of laminate (top and bottom) and we did not have a call for it, or enough of a call to pay for the two rolls.

We get a few requests for this type of laminating / encapsulation. It would be nice to have a good option.

Love to hear the answers here!

If they are small pieces Wal-Mart has a laminator for less than $20. It is designed to do desktop laminating in pouches like name badges.

Jeff, I had been thinking about getting one of those. Do you have one?

No but I would in minutes if a job came along to use it. You can always return it if it is not as advertised. Sam's club carries more institutional machines but are still only about $50 last time I saw one.
