I was very happy to see how many people applied for the McKeon scholarship. This year we had ten applicants to choose from and it was not an easy decision; I wish we had been able to award one to everybody. It was also gratifying to see the geographic diversity: of the five recipients two are in the United States, one in Canada, one in Australia and one in New Zealand.

The selection for the Kistler scholarship was particularly tough, as we had some outstanding candidates. I think we can all feel good with choosing Mikki and I know she will do Vivian proud.

If you applied and did not receive a scholarship, I strongly encourage you to move ahead with certification, scholarship or not. And remember, you can always apply again through the links Rob posted above.

As David said it's great to see such diverse locations of the recipients of the CPF Scholarship!
I'm actually surprised that there weren't more applicants than ten!

Mikki is a great choice for the Vivian Kistler Scholarship. A worthy recipient!

Congrats to the the winners, especially those that kicked my butt. Maybe I frame better than I write essays. :shrug: That will be all of them 'spose.


You'd think knowing Jim Miller would have helped... I think it actually may have hurt me... HA! Just cracked myself up. Love ya Jim. :p
 
Congratulations to winners and congratulations to all that applied. I took both exams pre-scholarship days and the rewards have been great. David is right, you should still take the exams even if you didn't win the scholarship. Remember that you local PPFA Chapter Library probably has the books for the reading material. Although they are nice to own, it is not totally necessary.

Still planning on taking the test, even tho' I didn't get the scholarship. AND I will be taking Nicole with me. She's FINALLY agreed...now to find Paul's phone number. HA! Cracked myself up again. :smiley:

If ya'll smell burning in Florida it's me studying and using the ole' blond brain. :confused:
 
Who's giving the test in Vegas.... maybe we should warn them ahead of time........ :party:
