That's my new venture. Selling logos online. It seems like a good idea.

Rather than hunt up a designer, go through the whole process of figuring out what you want, and getting revisions and changes, a new business can just scroll through the thumbnails and pick out what they want. They can even sort by price. No muss, no fuss.

Logos come with a change of text, and some revisions.

I think I have come up with some good ones. Haven't sold anything yet, but then, it's not like selling stock.

There are a lot of good designers on that site.

The tricky part is making sure each logo is fully trademarkable. Trademarks are different from copyright. They don't expire over time, and do not allow for "fair use". So, it takes a bit of research to make sure the images are not infringing on someone else's.

It's interesting, and I have found I like working with "logo" style designs. Just what I needed, something new and different!

You would be Great at it!!!

It seems like it would be really difficult though, not to mention time consuming, to keep up with whether there is another out there too similar to be able to trademark the ones you do. New ones are being created by the minute. How could you keep up and how do you even find them?

Go for it Hannah! If anyone can do it, you can.

Google Image search is my friend.

I think it will be difficult to get this in business. Most companies that grow and like to have their own logo, let it design by a design-office. You target at small business, but I think that part of the market also likes to draw something by themselves. Second problem is ownership and exclusive rights. It's already published with no copy-protection. Some smart guy can use those logo's to create some small differences and use it for himself.

not needing a new logo, but may really want my studio logos (got 2) digitally cleaned up and presentable sometime....:icon11: L.
