Hi,

I need a book that explains how to professionally mount and frame inkjet photographs.

Can anyone who has read Kistler's new book, The Complete Photo Guide to Framing and Displaying Artwork, tell me whether it covers the same ground as her previous books on basic mounting and framing.

Are there any books besides Kistler's that I should order? Perhaps The Mounting and Laminating Handbook?

Thanks.

Kistler's books are always good. Chris Paschke's new edition of her Mounting and Laminating Handbook probably has more up-to-date information about digital-output images.

Thanks, just corresponded with Chris Paschke, who is sending me a copy.

The remaining question is whether Kistler's new book, with Paschke's, will be sufficient. I don't need the Kistler library, just a solid text on framing and matting that covers what one needs to know for photographs.

One other thing that I would be interested in would be a book, reasonably scholarly, that covers the history of frame design - preferaby with lots of photographs. Is there such a thing?

Reference Library

I just mailed redge my newest book.
Besides PFM I do have my own Article Archive and Reference Library on my website with my twenty years of articles all listed. Eventually they will all be active, but at the moment they are all listed and only some are active. If you see a title you would like to read email me and I will send you the text copy via attachment.

Thanks Jim for the reference.
