I got an offer in the mail today from Park West offering Kinkades in quantities from 4 to 100. 100 being only $10,000. Is this 'the' Park West? If so, what one he!! of a partnership.

It is his half brother Murry Kincade.

He is the painter of dim.

I have had TK's come in for framing that were from Park West over the last couple years or so. Not many, but TK and Park West none the less. Kinda like seeing them in Hobby Lobby.

What a lovely couple!!

I'll have to say that I miss them. Havent had a PW to come in, in over a year. Used to get boat loads of them. Are people not a taking cruises these days, or has the customer gotten a good dose of reality??? TK, about the same.

The last TK I took in was about a year ago to change out the triple paper mats with reg glass because the customer had changed colors. They had paid over $3000 for it. COA and invoice were in a pocket on the back.

I still don't know what to do with my Kincade Burger King cups. I believe that in Arizona they were even developing Thomas Kincade home neighborhoods. Don't know what happened to that idea, but the housing market in Arizona has come crashing down.

I get several of the PW's in every month. Have 4 of them in the shop now. A lot of the TK's from PW come in for repair because of the way they are scabbed together including the filets. Loose TK's for framing but most of the owners are over the collectable aspect and just like the prints. I'm supposed to be seeing 4 or 5 TK's come in tomorrow with a new customer who wants to catch my current framing sale before it expires since tomorrow is the last day of the sale.

I guess that explains why they needed a draconian immigration law.

...my current framing sale before it expires since tomorrow is the last day of the sale.
With your regular prices, a sale would mean that you pay them to let you frame their art.

The Mother Superior was walking past Sister Mary Frank who was praying...

" . . y. . por favor Dios, illuminate Senior Kinkade . . ."

the MS leaned over and corrected the sister.... 'no sister, I believe you meant to say "eliminate". . . .'

I think my biggest regret is that in 4 1/2 years, I only had the honor of framing one Thomas Kinkade, and reframing one Park West monstrosity. I feel like I've really missed out on one of the true privileges of our profession, but that's how it is in San Contraryville.

I still have several TK's from a sale they had several years ago

before Tom took the company public, I bought 525 prints, of all kinds and descriptions, I paid a little over 10th in that quantity. I only have about 75 left, they have sold really well over the years, anywhere from 399-899$ framed. It has needless to say been very profitable. I have ordered many other special orders over the years, and some regular editon prints for display, wholesale a little over 100$ ea for most reg. ltd ed prints. Good business, some of my best framing customers have bought Tk's......Send any of that business my way, all who have no use for TK money......so easy, framing is simple, no hassle, just ringing up those $ is the most laborous part........T

average wholesale price for ltd ed prints 100+$

You can pick and choose from all of Tk's prints for around 100$. His prints are about the same as any other artist..............

We received the postcard today, too :) I believe the offer was 100 TK prints for $10,000 :vomit: oops

Man How do you get on that mailing list...........? envy

This whole episode puts Park West at about the same "classiness factor" as Big Lots and Deal$ .
 Rick

What makes you think they did not get the postcard too....
