is anyone else still having trouble with their glass having bubbles in it?
just got a new box of 36x48 conservation glass, and the first piece i took out and cut and put on the picture had 3 small bubbles on it. so i had to get another one and recut and put it on. on smaller pictures its not so bad, but this was a large picture.

just wondering if its just my luck, or if other people have this problem still.

thanks

I had a problem about two months ago.

I barely got a 16 x 20 out of three sheets of 32 x 40 conservation...

The distributor took it back, no problem.

No problems since.

Props to tru vue.

just called in some boxes of glass with bubbles in it and got credit. put it off till now since before Christmas since i have to have some pictures done today and had to call the customer to tell them it wasn't going to be ready because of the glass.

but their customer service is great. thanks TV

You got a credit directly from Tru-Vue?

Last I heard, their warranty deal is not supposed to work that way. You're supposed to get replacement lites/credit/whatever from the distributor that you bought it from, and the distributor will receive replacements/reimbursement from the maker.

That's how it works when I need to get flawed glass replaced. It doesn't happen often, but when it does, the distributor is always quick to exchange the lites.

yeah i got credit from CMI where i get the glass. basically they credit them and i get the glass N/C. so yeah. same thing as you Jim. i guess i call that a credit in my little world. :)

OK, so the fix to your problem did come through your distributor, which is how it's supposed to work: You call your supplier (distributor) for your fix; your supplier calls their supplier (Tru-Vue) for their fix.

You shouldn't have to bypass your supplier and call the manufacturer directly, because then they have to run their replace/reimburse process backwards, which complicates and probably delays things.
