I am needing a shadowbox that is more of a "keepsake" type of box with dividers (think - a wooden coke case...)

In the 70's these were very popular with folks putting "stuff" on each of the shelves. I've got some antique University of Tennessee dairy memorabilia, including a small milk bottle and milk carton. The customer would really like small shelves for these items.

I could (and may have to) just do a shadowbox frame and add shelves to a wooden backing, but I'd really like to at least look at some memory boxes.

Anyone know of anyone stocking or making them?

I'd try looking at antique stores or asking there. If they don't have them they could probably locate one for you.

The problem with wooden dividers is that their
chemical emissions will destroy sea shells and
items made of lead. An alternative could be made
from strips of acrylic sheet that have been properly notched with a table saw. They can
be cut in one or two stacks and then half can
be turned over so that their cuts can be fed into
the cuts on the other strips. Clear, black and
white acrylic give on a choice of colors that
will meet many aesthetic demands.

Plus, there are some other display things I've been needing!
