I saw this on the deal sites this morning, for those using Kaspersky AV:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produ...m1043X499650X6c1588b2bc28b432eb4b4acebd756842

$59.99
-$24.99 instant rebate
-$35 mail in rebate
$0 shipping
-----
$0

It costs $35 but there's a $35 rebate. Shipping is free.

Ours expires in August, but this will be good to have on hand when it does. You can also stack the activation codes to extend the date before it expires, by clicking LICENSE.

Best regards
Mike

PS: This is not a commercial post. I'm just sharing a deal that I have no connection to, am not doing it on behalf of someone else, and I don't profit from it in any way.

Thanks, Mike. I have 6 mos. left, but this looks like a great deal to extend.. Free sounds pretty good.

If installing it new, with LifeSaver, be sure to check the tips and tricks booklet. Some settings have to be changed in Kaspersky, to be compat with LSS.

Got my order already! Ok, so ours expired 2-3 weeks ago.
1. Since it has been so long, should I Uninstall the old version before putting in the new one?
2. OR Should I try just entering the new Activation Code?
3. Or will that screw things up?

Thanks for the advice!!

All you need to do is enter the new license/activation code.

If the one on your pc is very old (2009 or 2010) then you may also want to put the newest version in (2012), downloadable from their website for free.

To do so you'd uninstall the current one, preserve settings and license info, and then install the new one. It'll remember your expiration date and preferences.

The old one is from 2011. But don't they automatically update on a regular basis during the course of the year?

No the versions will never update automatically. Just the daily virus signatures do.

If yours says 2011, that's fine. The 2013 version will be out in September, but 2011 and 2012 are almost the same. Both are good.

Super - thanks! Hmmmm, now I have to check to make sure. We installed the old one in 2011 but I suppose it could have been a 2010 version!
