This is a old fridge door that I had painted and now we have put a bunch of fillet frame magnets....more to come. The frames have a peel and stick board on them so the customer can peel and stick their own photo and display on their own fridge.

Prices range from $3 - $6 according to size.

Great. I collect fridge magnets, and have made a few tiny frame ones over the years. Love the door color.

That looks like a wonderful idea but aren't you afraid that people will start asking for those "little frames" on their big artwork???

What a great idea - a great way to use up small pieces of fillet! What kind magnet is on the back and what type of peel 'n stick board did you use?

BTW, I love that fridge colour too - very retro looking

One year I made lots of similar little piccies and hung them all on the Christmas tree in the shop window. They looked great and attracted a lot of attention. Only trouble was, people kept wanting to buy them and they took far too long to make to be able to do this at a 'reasonable' price. :)

That's why I've never tried to sell that sort of thing. I always figured people would reason that, "If they charge so much for those little things, they must really sock it to you on the big stuff...". I guess the trick would be to convince them to see it as, "Wow, this is so much bigger and yet it's only $xx. more than those tiny magnet frames."

Thanks for nice comments.

i bought some small rare earth magnets that someone recommended here on the grumble. so far the magnets are under some black paper on the back so as to not harm the fridge.

i too was thinking that figuring out some way to hang them on the christmas tree would be good.

the board we have been using is a crescent 4ply mounting board.

all of this is in the first try stages.

The choice of sample images adds to the whole "retro" look, too! :)
