A jump drive is a good choice for what is today considered small/medium backups. Don't forget to listen to several comments posted concerning a full hard drive backup (ghost).
We are all in business and the data is no good without the ability to use it.
A "ghost" will make it easier to get the show going again. Just slap in the "ghost" drive in the existing machine, or a new one if the old one is destroyed, add the latest data via the data backup medium (thumb drive, CD, DVD, Zip) and all is well.
By the way, put the "ghost drive and data backups in another location. The big boys call this "disaster Recovery Planning".
