. . . at an open house on Sunday, September 19, 2004.

Jim will do a morning session on Preservation Mounting Techniques and an afternoon session on Design and Construction of Shadowboxes.

There will also be a plant tour, a framing competition, show specials and lunch.

Evald is in Watertown, WI. For more information, or to RSVP, call them at 800-873-3300 or email at evaldmoulding@mcleodusa.net

Neither Jim nor Evald asked me to post this but, for anyone within driving distance, this is a wonderful opportunity.

I'm going to get to go! I didn't think I would at first because that is the same weekend as our state professional photographers fall convention and they always have good programs there but it turned out that Sunday's program is about photographing kids. That's not something I'm really interested in since I don't do the photography at our studio and we don't actually photograph alot of kids. I'd much rather see Jim Miller. I missed him last time he talked in WI because a photography meeting. This time, I'm going! Gary can go the photographers convention, I'll meet him there later for dinner.

Jim put on a great program on Sunday. I'm glad I got to go, I'd recommend his talks to any framer. It also gave me a chance to meet some more grumblers, visit with Ron in person and talk to some of my other friends in the framing industry.

At one point, Jim commented that in 10 years time, probably half the people in the room would no longer be in business. My friends and nearest competitors, George and Louise, were sitting next to me. She just cracked me up by saying that she hoped they were no longer in business in 10 years, because by then they would be in their late 80's!

Sorry I had to leave as soon as it was done, but I had to drive 2 1/2 hours to get to the photographer's convention and meet up with my husband. I made it there in time for the beer and bull in the trade show.
