I would like to know - what are the basic attributes of Jac paper and is it appreciably different from other available pressure-sensitive sheets please? (Jac is readily available here in Oz, but other types are more difficult to come by, depending on one's location).

Are there any papers or backing substrates that are not compatible with Jac paper?

Thanks Grumblers!

Welcome to the G, legends213!

I'm sorry, but I have never heard of Jac paper.

Can you describe it?

Thanks for the welcome and the reply, Jo.

I've never actually seen Jac paper but have seen it mentioned in passing on the Grumble and in Aussie catalogues...

All I know is that it's a cold-mount adhesive, either single or double-sided, available in sheets or roll form - and I would like to know more of its attributes before committing to purchase.

From what I can see JAC are a Australian manufacturer of self adhesive products….they most likely have a self adhesive board in there program which can be used by the framing/graphics industry….best bet is to give them a call and ask the who distributes this product for them to the picture framing business….

I have had good success with different self adhesive boards…..some are more forgiven than others when it comes to mounting……i.e. some are easier to work with they initially have a lesser grip which allows for some error when mounting an image.

If you contact Jared Davis jared@hughesmouldings.com.au at Hughes they have had a discussion evening about mounting and self adhesive boards and there uses….. were covered…they have a discussion paper that they could send to you….it was the April 2004 evening
