I have a customer looking for a 1/4" wide floater frame in a charcoal finish. The height isn't a major concern as I will have to restretch it anyway.

Any suggestions?

We have a 3/8" wide one in Walnut with an Ebony or Satin Black finish. If you really need 1/4", we can thin it down for a nominal charge. Contact us for details if interested.

Your 901 series would work well, but the charcoal finish is a sticking point. I may end up ordering it raw, and staining it myself.

We do offer the step floaters, such as 901, in Maple with a Satin Black finish - not sure if that would work... "charcoal" is one of those terms that can range quite a lot. If you need finish chips let us know.
 
check out the Larson cranbrook floater line, Larson 623674 is a Ebonized Walnut.

I also remember Nurre Caxton has some Floater that are 1/4" width.
