Is the ipod touch a pda. I see that it has contacts, email, calendar and notes like an iphone.

Can I upload and download regular files to store for transfer?

Can I upload and download with the wifi using a ssl or program other than itunes?

thanks,
framer

I got mine at Christmas, and I'm still learning some things about it.

I have not seen that it can be used as a storage device, at least through iTunes. There may be some ways to hack it for that, but that's way beyond me.

It has wifi and bluetooth. You can surf, email, etc. on any wireless network. Probably the best thing is all the apps you can dowload. There are hundreds of them, all at various prices, but many at $.99 or free. I have have a couple to-do lists, a business mileage app, and a couple of fun games. I even have a level that I can use for installations.

I sync an iPod Touch with MS Outlook: contact and addresses and calendars. You can also use an app called Documents to Go from Data Viz to sync with word files, excel, etc via a wifi connection.

It's pretty slick, but it's not a Palm Pilot. Let me know if you need details.
