I am now able to offer Invisi-Mount - Matte finsih which is just like the non glare except that it is a bit heavier and works better for clear straps. This Matte finish would be available in 25 1/4" wide 10 or 50 foot rolls. My question is: should I bring it in? My initial investment is quite high to start up and I would like to know if there is any interest. A few have asked for wider options that I have not been able to offer up until now. So what do you think? Is there a need?

Likely, it would take the place of one of your other films...and not be in addition to it if people had the choice of both.

Consumer cost would also be a factor.

Well I guess this tells me what I wanted to know. 82 views and only one has made a comment as to the need for wider non glare.

To be honest, Pat, I haven't tried the Invisi-mMunt film yet so I can't give any educated input. I want to but just haven't brought any in yet to try.

Perhaps it would be helpful if you better described the product for those of us who may not be familiar with it.

If you put the word Invisi-mount in the search line, you will find a lot of information on the product. One thread called Loving Invisi-mount shows a wonderful display of pictures from a project done by Framar. There are many others as well. See attached pictures.

Invisi-mount is a archival quality polypropylene sheeting that comes in 2 types. Non-glare and anti-microbial. The non-glare is just that. It's lighter weight and easier to work with when wrapping or encapsulating and doesn't have the shine of Mylar. The Anti-microbial has a silver factor in it that prevents the growth of stain causing bacteria such as mold or mildew, that you often find in old documents that have been stored in attics or basements. The AM type was originally made for the purpose of storing old museum documents such as newspapers and magazines.

Up until now I have not been able to offer anything wider than 18.5 inches. But, just recently I found a matte-finish of the same polypropylene makeup and it's just a bit heavier. We can offer it in the wider 25.25" width, and the fact that it's heavier makes it a better fit when using it for the clear strap method to mount objects. What I am trying to do is find out is if there is a need, or at least enough of a need to go to the expense. So far I'm thinking that the answer is no.
