Anyone have info on international Moulding, located in B'ham, Al. They seem to be rapidly expanding, buying TC Moulding recently, my understanding anyway. Are they publicly owned?, can you buy stock?, or privately owned?. Richard Thompson here in B'ham is, was or still is the owner.

What do you think of him personally, if any of you grumblers have had contact or business dealing with him or his company? What do you think of their product and services, quality of moulding, etc., any info would be appreciated.....just interested as they started here in B'ham......

I've used International for several years with no problems. The items are kind of you-get-what-you-pay-for but as long as you know that thier great to work with.

My understanding is that the TC buyout was not buy choice but the only way to collect.

I think they're great - good variety and prices. They're also only 60 miles away so I can run over and pick up what I need. They do a pretty good job of keeping their web site current - check it out! (www.internationalmoulding.com)

I typically wouldn't respond in an open forum but this time I will. 1. Richard Thompson is still the owner and it is a private corporation. 2. He has a wide variety of mouldings from price sensitive (that you get what you pay for type) to some very nice mouldings. 3. He is a great guy.

The TC buyout was anything but an attempt to collect. I will only comment on this now, but International Moulding was about the only company that we didn't owe money to. Internationals payment policy's are very strict...in a sense you don't owe them money or you don't get product.

Unlike International, you can now buy their product by the stick, chop or chop and join from TC Moulding. It makes the access to their mouldings much easier for non-box purchaser's.

Thanks.

Thanks for your input John, hope all goes well for TC, and great to hear that Richard is such a good person, love hearing people brag about suppliers in our industry, I've had great luck with most of mine. I deal mostly with Cash Moulding in B'ham, excellent folks, and great service over 17 years.

I buy box moulding mostly, join and chop myself, keep a good inventory of about 50-75 moulding, most of which I purchase from Crossroads in Jackson, Miss and Wall Moulding out of Texas, both have given me good service.....

Treeves: Cash is a great company! I'm trying to get to the Talledega race in the fall. If I make it I'll try to look you up! And I think things will go very well with TC with Richard running the show.

It is one thing for John to say it but as a customer I will also agree that things are running well at TC now that International is running the show. Not that they were all that bad before, but I have seen an improvement since the beginning of the year.

Just today I called about a missing mat and the customer service rep went out to the warehouse personally to make sure they could fix the problem. Great service!

John, give Smitty a raise!

Tim: First thank you for the kind words and believe me it is our goal to continue to get better from a stocking and customer service standpoint. I also want to take this opportunity to thank Tim, Sharon and Scott - G'ers that are also customers for sticking with us through some very difficult times and your loyality and support have been fantastic. My goal is to get this thing turned around so I can not only give Smitty a raise but all of the rest of the employees who stuck it out and despite some of our difficulties still tried their hardest to support our customers!
