Internet Explorer 7.0

My laptop wants me to download this. Do I want to? Is anyone else using it? IE 6.0.2900 works just fine but could I go better?

I had a PC once that kept telling me to "reboot" and I wound up with a closet full of footwear before it dawned on me that my idiot machine didn't know the first thing about boots!!!

Maybe you should follow your instincts and tell that laptop to go suck a lemon!!

Just had to purge those feelings.

I've been using it for quite a while, like it and have had only minor problems. It is considered to be between beta testing and full release so some websites don't like it yet or say if you have troubles, you're on your own.

I'm sure the more technically qualified folks can give us both a more informed opinion.

Tom, you can't believe how close that avatar is to some of the things I try: everyonce in awhile, my life flashes before my eyes. If I'm gone from the board for a long while, it may be to recover.

Actually, I tried to import a little black stick kitty to use as an avatar but failed...sadly. (Think I'll hold off on IE7 for now.)

I have it on one computer, and like it. However, I had to remove it from two others, which requires a call to Microsoft - not advised.

The problem was that Stamps.com simply would not run on the new version, due to some inherent incompatibility. I guess there are other programs that might have trouble with the new version, as well.

Jim, what does 7.0 do that earlier doesn't? Did you change because you knew you could wiggle out of trouble, whereas I may not be able to as easily?

We all love newest and latest but caution becomes more important as I get older....dang.
